An eagle can see another eagle as much as three miles away. You need to see your goal so clearly. You have to know what it is, you need to see it, smell it, taste it. You need to get all five of your senses involved.
The opposite of faith is our dependence on the arms of flesh, ours or of others instead of total dependence on God and laboring with His gifts and grace. We aren't supposed to attain God's will and obtain His promises any other way aside through dependence on Him.
My friend George had invited me over for dinner-and-a-video, but this display of utter disrespect from his son Matt was somewhat unsettling.

In the usual doublespeak error where we say Christ is the final sacrifice for sin on one hand but wouldn't mind picking anything that supports our pettiness from the law of Moses on the other hand. So, your husband is sold out to Christ, but where do you stand? Do you stand behind him, or beside him? It is disturbing, but I have seen that many wives of true men of God, including pastors, ministers, evangelists, etc. have not themselves accepted God’s love, truly repented of their sins, inwardly given their lives to Christ and turned away from the ways of this world.
