The experts say, when the anorexic becomes weight restored, they come to recognize their body is not as grotesque as they once thought it would be. They realize their friends still love them and they can stop believing the lies the devil plants in their minds.
These are the writings of a dad watching his daughter as she battles an eating disorder. She has been in conflict for three months and has lost down to 20 pounds below her ideal body weight. What started out as a desire to get healthy almost six months ago ended in a war for her life.
The entity most opposed to the human race would be the devil, or one of his minions, whether that be fallen angels or demons. Or could it be that he had been so wronged by the members of the human race that his wounded, suppressed subconscious began to seek retribution for the pain inflicted upon him that it created an alter ego to actually execute payback?
“I just want to die,” she screamed through sobs as the tears streamed down her cheeks, “I cannot be this size. This is too big, why did you do this to me?!” Her dad sat next to her as two hours passed trying in vain to calm her down. Yet nothing he did seemed to work.
As a physician, I have frequently seen that an individual’s manifestation of his afflictions is a result of multiple problems occurring at one time. I have also seen different parts of the body affect each other, including the mind/body interaction and the placebo effect. I have seen people with the same disease die, be healed by medicine or surgery, or healed by the power of God.
