On Saturday, March 26th, Danielle Marquez-Valle, 48, of Mesquite, Nevada, died in a ghastly car accident car as she was heading to Salt Lake city for her late mother’s funeral.
A man driving her and a 28-year-old lady in his 2004 GMC Sierra pickup truck, lost control of the vehicle along northbound Interstate-15. The pickup rolled several times. Sadly, Valle was ejected from the front passenger seat and pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
The male driver was taken to Beaver hospital while the 28-year-old lady was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition.
According to Good 4 Utah, the road was wet and icy due to a winter storm; neither woman was wearing a seatbelt, as reported by the highway patrol on the scene. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
The original plan was for Danielle to have her mum’s ashes with her, but those plans changed and she did not have her mother’s ashes with her at the time of the crash.
An obituary published in the Salt Lake Tribune shows 68-year-old Shirley Irene Coates, Valle’s mother and a grandmother of six and a great-grandmother of four, died from a long standing illness in the early part of March.
A memorial service had been planned for her on Saturday morning at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Taylorsville, Utah.
May their souls rest in perfect peace.
