To many people, God is no more than a visitor in their homes, a passenger in their car, and a spectator in the affairs of their lives. Rather than run to God in their time of need, their first port of call is usually the ears of a fellow man. This explains why many crash with reckless abandon in the journey of life. The bottom line is, if you treat God like a guest, a spectator, or a passenger and expect to have it great at all times, you are definitely in for a shock!
I pray that as you begin the journey of the year 2013, you will give God the Chairman’s seat in the cabinet of your life. I assure you that in doing so, you will arrive at the favorable destinations He has already ordained for you. If you have not given Him this opportunity in years past, please try it and watch the remarkable difference letting go and letting God creates.
As you honor, fear, and trust the Lord this year, His unfailing grace will do a remarkable thing in your life, in the name of Jesus.
Have a wonderful and glorious New Year 2013.
Prayer points:
Thank you, Almighty God, for seeing us through 2012 and granting us the privilege of seeing the year 2013.
Thank you for life, the greatest gift of all--good health both of mind and body, your grace that is more than sufficient for us, your mercy that endures forever, and your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Thank you, Lord, for being our might and the beginning of our strength, the excellency of our dignity, and the excellency of our power in 2013.
Thank you for a year of open heavens, a year of global harvest, a year of unmerited favor, and a year of unimaginable fruitfulness.
Father, please hear my prayer throughout this year and give ear unto my cry; hold not your peace at my tears.
Father, help me so I do not suffer instability this year but excel in all areas according to your will for me.
Father, anoint me with the oil of gladness; let my mouth be full of laughter and my tongue with singing.
Father, please help me to live as the salt of the earth--let my life impact others and let my lifestyle be the Bible unbelievers around me are reading.
Father, bless and preserve me as I come in and go out throughout this year and let the enemies that rise up against me be defeated before me.
Father, grant me the grace to adopt the right strategy for every situation and to be at the right place at the right time throughout 2013.
Father, bless me with uncommon ideas that will miraculously catapult me to the next level.
Father, demonstrate your power in my life and let it be made perfect in my weakness, in Jesus’ name.
I pray that this year 2013:
My body will not be a habitation for sickness and disease but will remain a temple of the most high God.
My feet shall be guarded, strengthened, and anointed for speed from January to December.
As the Lord was with Moses, so He will be with me every day this year.
The Lord shall satisfy me with strength from the beginning to the end of the year; my strength shall not dissipate, and my horn shall be exalted.
From the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same, the name of the Lord will remain a strong tower in my life.
When I call upon the Lord, He will answer me according to His will; He will be my ever-present help in time of trouble; He will send me help from His sanctuary; He will defend, deliver, and honor me.
The Lord will go before me and make every crooked place in my life straight. He will level all the mountains, break down the gates of bronze, and cut through the bars of iron.
I will be a person of big faith, and the Lord will bless me with unsurpassed wisdom.
I will remain strong and courageous: I will not be terrified; I will not be discouraged, for the Lord my God will be with me wherever I go this year.
As I trust in the Lord steadfastly this year, I will be like Mount Zion which cannot be shaken but endures forever--as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord will surround me, my family, my business, and my ministry.
I will reach the needy and the lost and use any given opportunity to help as many people as possible.
I will make a conscious effort to love the Lord my God with all my heart and love my neighbor as myself, in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen!
Anything in my life that has been attracting sin will be exposed and destroyed.
Intercession
Father, please remember the brokenhearted--please heal them and grant them your peace that surpasses all understanding, in Jesus' name.
