Grieving at Christmas
It has been a very rough year with Covid-19 wrecking havoc in unprecedented numbers. While most are celebrating a social distance Christmas, some are going through a lot of grief. Our prayers and thoughts are with those grieving this Christmas. May the peace of the Lord comfort them, in Jesus’ name. May the souls of the faithfully departed rest in perfect peace.
Psalm 9:9 – The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.
John 16:22 – Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.
Revelation 21:4 – He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
Psalm 34:18 – The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Psalm 73:26 – My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
