The best leaders are those who have been broken by God. Like Jacob, they have wrestled with God and walked away with a limp. Their own ego has been subdued. Leaders will become dangerously self-centered if they skip this process.
Leaders are necessary to drive the vision home, make sure it stays alive in the hearts of the staff, members and contributors. Decisions that have to be made, need to have solid backing, and for this leadership has a greater spiritual responsibility to contribute to the success, while managers could also be part of this responsibility, but would focus more on the strategic planning to ensure the growth and achievability.
Leaders don’t wait for someone else. Leaders are that someone. They see the need and they look to see what they can do to fill it. They see the problem and look for how they can help to solve it. They see the conditions and they take steps to improve it.
