Why do people complain? What is it they want or hope for when they complain?
If your self-image is tied to another person you are in trouble. When that person does well, you feel better about yourself and when the other person does poorly, you feel terrible. You can't fix other people and you definitely are wasting time trying. Develop a good self-image that is not based on other people's behaviors or choices.
There is one amazing exercise you can do in order to help you manifest those results in a faster and better way: You need to write a script of you. Not your situation, not a story of your past... just YOU. Who would you like to be? Begin jotting down ideas of the person you would like to be, and read it over and over.
It is to see yourself as a company or product (which you certainly are). The CEO of you, Inc. is essentially concerned with personal branding. When it comes to personal branding, the ultimate responsibility rests with the individual and not a second party. Personal branding is perhaps as crucial for success as much as the branding of a company or its products and services, if not much more.
